Day 2 Swiss bliss in Zurich

Published on 4 June 2024 at 15:09

Bouncing between bouts of jet lag and adrenaline after landing in Zurich with little sleep we still wasted no time in dropping bags and heading into the old town of Zurich.  Stopping first at the sporting goods store Decathlon, we got to pick up our bikes that took weeks of coordination with  Simon, a super kind service rep. We had communicated so much, he even came down to the store to greet us and wish us well off on our journey!  Afterwards, we sauntered through the picturesque old town, ate one of our favorite Swiss meals of Raclette and potatoes, and found our way back to the hotel where we promptly and deservedly crashed out hard.  The evening was spent assembling all the equipment onto the bikes.  We just might be a little rear end heavy,  but hey we Marks are kinda built that way!

The first of many pointy towers we hope to encounter

The Swiss love flags...and loafers!

Say Cheese!

Like a NYC underpass, except well, you know, clean

More weather like this, please!

Bikes on the train get their own seatbelts, brilliant.  Why can't we have nice things!

This is how we roll!
